Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers spacious rooms circa 1950, giving lots of room for the kids, but cleanliness was not up to par upon our departure. Despite this, the service was top-notch with friendly and helpful staff going out of their way to assist, including the maintenance team. The location, although not perfect with some issues like a malfunctioning alarm clock and subpar amenities, was relatively easy to navigate and a short walk away from local attractions. Dining, although cooked to perfection, was at an extra cost, providing indulgent pastries at a premium. Overall, the hotel provides a mixed experience with some notable drawbacks.
Upon arrival, I noticed the room had some pre-existing damage, which concerned me about my deposit. The lighting in the room was too dim for seniors, and there were dust and cobwebs present. Despite these issues, the dresser was spacious.
The hotel's location was just where I wanted it to be, convenient to the highway, and had a restaurant/bar attached, making it a one-stop shop after traveling all day around Nova Scotia. The rooms were comfortable, well-appointed for my needs, and surprisingly spacious. The service was okay, although some staff members were ignorant. The dining experience was mediocre, but the meat was cooked to perfection. The facilities were good, and the location was very accessible which was nice indeed.
